ONE DAY “ADVENTURE” WITH RENATA AT

This complex consisted of four distinct areas: a large artificial lake
with islands and pavilions located in the west, a bathing complex in the
centre, a complex of pavilions and pools in the south, and a smaller lake in
the east. One of the most popular object in Taman Sari
is The bathing complex. Although
this area wasn’t the main point of Taman Sari, it’s still the best preseved area in the complex. Currently
it’s become the most popular tourist attraction. You can accessed this area via
two gates on the east and the west side. Each of those gates leads to the
center of the complex, first to an inner octogonal-shaped courtyard on the east
and the west, and then each of these courtyards leads to a central bathing
complex in the center.

Have you ever taste Nasi Soto? there are so much kind of Soto from different region in Indonesia with their own special taste,
like Soto Betawi, Soto Banjar, Soto Makasar, Soto Lamongan,
Soto Kudus, etc. After spending the
whole day at Taman Sari Complex with
Renata, we decided to order Nasi Soto Lamongan and Wedang Ronde for our dinner. Though I
do like Soto, actually it isn’t my most favorite menu. I prefer for Nasi Rawon
than Nasi Soto Lamongan. Unfortunately, Nasi Rawon were not available at this restaurant.
The
weird thing that I don’t understand is, the soup of Soto Lamongan are so extremely delicious tasting for me that night. How could
it be? It shake my tongue, and the aroma
of the soup is very strong. It smell and taste like
heaven. I still don't see what's
so special with this restaurant. I
wonder if anyone
feels the same with me? This isn’t my first ‘Nasi Soto Lamongan’
experience with a smart-pretty friend of mine. I
don't know what kind of recipe they use, but it taste like no
others. What makes this restaurant food taste so yummy?
I finished my dinner before Renata.
Renata looks so tired when
we come at the restaurant. While
she eats her dinner, the tired of her face was gradually fading
away. She looks prettier now to me, and I can see her beauty face
clearly. When I look at the way she eat her dinner, I can imagine that she's a
well educated girl, with good manners.
I wouldn't say it in
front of her, obviously, but if I have to confess,
I really enjoyed
hanging out with her.I
admire her photography skills, then after a moment, I begin to admire her beauty.
May be I didn't
realize that before. I hope our friendships
will become
closer.

Not Over Confidence (X-Story)
NOT OVERCONFIDENCE

Xervan notices the sad gloomy expression on his friend’s face, Randy, and offers his ear to listen to Randy’s
problem, Xervan has always been a good listener to him.
“Van, she keeps
flirting with me. She is gorgeous, there is no doubt about that, but she is too
aggressive, not my type of girl.”
“Lestari? Flirting with you? Are you
serious? You just met her five days ago man,” said Xervan while enjoying his tastiest Nasi Soto.
“Maybe that’s what
you feel, and maybe she acts normally towards you, but to me,” Randy pauses for
a while, looks sad, then continues, “I just don’t have the heart to refuse her
love for me!”
“Yo, are you sure
about this? Lestari is the type girl who gets along with everyone easily, and
as far as I know, she already has..”
“No-no-no Van!” Randy
interrupts Xervan, “I know what you are going to say, and you’re wrong! I can
see it in her eyes! It’s not that I’m overconfident, but… I can really
distinguish between a girl who likes me and a girl who just looking for
friendship!” Randy tries to convince Xervan.
Xervan stares at Randy’s
face, trying to understand what makes his friend so upset.
“So, Lestari is in love with you?”
“Exactly! And that
what makes me upset!”
“Wait a second; I
think I’m missing something here, if Lestari is the one who in love with you, then why you are the one who feel upset and
anxious?”
“Maybe you already
notice that I’m not only handsome and good-looking, but I also have a gentle
heart, I don’t even have the slight intention to break her heart! Every time
I’m with another girl, she gets insanely jealous! Can you imagine if she feels
broken-hearted, frustrates with the fact that she can’t get me, and then
commits suicide? Who are going to responsible if all those things occur?” Randy
says, slightly furious.
While Xervan and Randy
still converse about Lestari, out of the sudden, Lestari appears and walks
towards Xervan and Randy, but she is not alone, walking beside her is a fine
handsome man.
“Hello Van! Sorry I can’t
reply your message, my phone’s dead,” Lestari says.
“Haa! No wonder I
don’t receive any reply from you!” Xervan replies her.
“Here you go! These
are all the textbooks that I have right now, these should be sufficient for
your exam preparation.” Lestari hands a pile of textbooks to Xervan.
Randy stares at Lestari
without saying a word.
“Sorry Van, we need
to go now. The film gonna start soon,
it’s The Dark Knight Rises! Can’t afford to miss that!” said the fine handsome
man beside Lestari.
“Ah oke, enjoy the
movie you two!’ Xervan says to both Lestari and the handsome man.
While Lestari and the handsome man walk away, Randy feel
shy and disbelief as he sees from afar Lestari holds the handsome man’s hand.
It is obvious that the handsome man is Lestari’s boyfriend.
“ Hey,Who…,
who are that guy? Please Van, don’t tell me that he’s her…”
“His name is Charisma Wijaya, and…, yes Randy, that
is Lestari’s boyfriend,” Xervan interrupts Randy, it’s like he can read Randy’s
mind.
Xervan notices the
change of expression on his friend’s face. Randy is filled with jealousy,
anger, disbelief, and even embarrassment. He still can’t accept the fact that
all this time Lestari never really like him. All of his assumptions and
hypothesis are all wrong.
“ Well, isn’t
it a good news for you, Randy? You don’t need to worry about making Lestari
feels broken-hearted anymore!” Xervan says.
Xervan keep trying to console Randy, but before he can do
that, Randy stands up from his chair and walks away, leaving Xervan alone in
the canteen with unpaid food on their table.
“ Hey
Randy, wait… where do you think you’re going? Who’s going to pay for these?”

Nasi Rawon
Sensasi Sendokan Pertama Kuah Rawon,
Benar-benar Tak Tertandingi
Sore itu
sehabis berkeliling di kompleks Candi Ijo di Yogyakarta, aku dan Chensy sengaja
mampir di sebuah rumah makan khas Jawa Timur. Salah satu menu favoritku adalah
Nasi Rawon. Seporsi Nasi Rawon, terdiri dari semangkuk sup daging sapi,
dengan bumbu dan rempah-rempah khas Indonesia disertai dengan potongan daging
sapi merah. Sup rawon disantap bersama nasi putih yang di atasnya ditaburi
bawang merah goreng. Sebagai menu pelengkap, Nasi Rawon dihidangkan bersama sambal,
kerupuk udang, telur asin, jeruk nipis dan taoge.

Mungkin Nasi Rawon di Yogyakarta tidak selezat di Surabaya atau kota lain
di Jawa Timur, tapi ketika aku mencicipinya, sensasi kaldu sapi dikombinasikan
dengan kluwek(bumbu utama kuah rawon) disertai berbagai rempah-rempah yang
lain, menghasilkan sebuah citarasa yang tak tertandingi oleh masakan manapun. Masakan
yang menggunakan kluwek baru Nasi Rawon dan Nasi Brongkos. Sendokan pertama yang
masuk ke mulutku dari kuah rawon yang berwana coklat sangatlah nikmat, terasa
sampai ke dalam hati.

Bahan
dasar dan Rempah-rempah :
- 500 gram daging sapi merah dipotong-potong, tanpa lemak.
- 2 liter air putih
- 3 batang bawang perai
- 4 sendok makan minyak sayur
- 2 batang serai, memarkan
- 1,5 cm lengkuas, di
- daun jeruk, daun bawang, secukupnya(beberapa potong)
- 5 buah keluwak, keluarkan isinya, rendam ke dalam air hangat
- 1,5 cm kunyit dibakar secukupnya
- gula merah secukupnya
- 1 sendok teh ketumbar
- 10 siung bawang merah
- 6 siung bawang putih
- Terasi dan garam secukupnya
- 2 buah tomat
Membuat Sup Rawon :
- Rebus potongan daging sapi hingga lunak.
- Haluskan bumbu-bumbu dasar yaitu; keluwak, kunyit, gula merah, ketumbar, bawang merah, bawang putih, terasi, garam, dan tomat
- Tumis seluruh bumbu yang telah dihaluskan, sertakan potongan daun jeruk, serai dan lengkuas, hingga berbau harum.
- Campurkan potongan daging yang telah lunak ke dalam bumbu yang ditumis.
- Sertakan juga daun bawang dan bawang perai, dan tumis hingga bumbu meresap ke dalam daging.
- Tuangkan air kaldu rebusan daging sapi, biarkan mendidih dan terus diaduk.
- Tuangkan ke dalam wadah, dan sup rawon siap dinikmati untuk 8 orang.
Siapkan juga bahan pelengkap seperti taoge, telur asin, krupuk udang, sambal
dan jeruk nipis.
